I’m an artist and a curator. I work at a small museum in the desert of Southern California. I like my job and I get to put together cool art exhibits and events, but I also yearn to operate my own art space. I’m young, I have to work, I have debt from college, and I don’t have money to move wherever I want…

Sight School is pleased to host this one-night exhibition and public reading of Chicago-based collective Temporary Services’ newspaper titled, “Art Work: A National Conversation on Art, Labor and Economics.” This event will take place from 7-9pm on Wednesday December 16th.
Vanagallery (parked at 3rd St. Studios in Riverside, CA) will host a one-night exhibition and discussion of how artists of all types in Riverside and the Inland Empire are fairing in this economy. What possibilities for collaboration, creation of new spaces, opportunities for occupation, producing artwork, and creating our own economy are available? You are encouraged to bring things to share, friends to include in the discussion, and more.
